After reading some of the reviews for the Carson range I was worried. But after receiving the corner sofa and three seat sofa I was very pleased. The fabric is lovely and the sofa is very comfortable. You need a big room for this range. I can understand why other reviews mentioned scratched floors, there is a metal stud under the feet. It’s easy to remove and we have replaced with rubber to protect the floors. We did have a damaged one delivered and this was replaced. Customer services were great. I’d recommend all to really inspect the sofa feet as these seem to be damaged prior to wrapping. Also be warned with the delivery guys. One out of the four that came to our house was awful and dropped and bashed the items often. Hence a damaged sofa. But the other guys that attended were brilliant.

    Sofa is very comfortable
Unfortunatly the fabric has come with damage.

The bleach stain removal is completely nonsense. It doesn’t work and it actually makes it much worse.
I also noticed it was starting to smell fusty. I unzipped a cushion cover this evening to discover that the inside of the cushions have gone mouldy!

This definitely isn’t a ‘fall back and sink in to it’ sofa. The Vivalife fabric is much stiffer than I expected it to be and the seat cushions aren’t very deep. The foam in the seats doesn’t fill out again easily after you’ve been sitting on it, so mine already has near constant dents in the seats. I know the seats have a fibre wrap but they are mostly foam so I wouldn’t expect to have to be plumping them all the time to get the dents out.
Aesthetically it does look smart. The fabric certainly won’t bobble or look worn easily so it is good in that respect and perfect if you have kids or pets. The sofa itself is well-built; however, the seat cushions really let it down. Not one I would have picked if I’d had a chance to sit on it before buying and I hadn’t have been desperate for quick delivery.

Just a heads-up for anyone considering the Carson Deep Sit Vivalife Stain-Resistant Fabric Corner Sofa from Dunelm. We bought it in November 2022 for £1,314.05, and it’s been nothing but trouble. Here’s what we’ve experienced:
    – Mould is growing inside the cushions—even the ones that haven’t been cleaned.
    – Despite being advertised as stain-resistant, the sofa stains and turns blue/black when cleaned according to the provided instructions.
    – There’s a strange black glitter-like substance that transfers to skin and is hard to remove.
    – Dunelm sent a technician who initially told us it was a manufacturing fault, but their final report falsely blames us for “using the wrong cleaning methods.” The report is full of mistakes, including irrelevant advice about cleaning garden furniture!
    – The sofa cushions are supposed to be water-resistant, but they’ve clearly soaked up moisture, causing the mould—despite us following the instructions and air-drying the cushions.
We’re being accused of mistreating the sofa without any real proof, and we’re stuck with a product that doesn’t meet the standards of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you’re looking for a sofa, I’d steer clear of this one.
Has anyone else had similar issues with Dunelm furniture?
